FACTS

i'm max. i've been building things on the web since the mid 2000s — back when "responsive" wasn't a word and you measured layouts in px like a savage. i live in hastings, michigan with my wife and kids.

i've worked on big e-commerce sites, small, medium and large craft cms builds, and a lot of custom apps in between. the tools matter less to me now than whether anyone's actually using what i made.

currently

• working on really cool stuff at my day job
• building software i'd want to use
• writing here, when something's worth writing
• trying to learn photography
• building a life-sized R2-D2
• open to interesting contract work

stack i reach for

• php most days — craft cms when i get to choose, wordpress when i don't
• laravel when a project earns a proper backend
• a little typescript and javascript, in smaller doses than they'd like
• html and tailwind css, more often than the discourse would suggest
